Settee or sofa!

Days before we got the keys to our workshop, this Edwardian two seater was on it's way to Glasgow!  It was only when it was being stripped that the fully working drop arm revealed itself. It had been 'decomissioned' with two blocks glued to the frame, and the arm sewn into place.

This solid sofa is back at home after reupholstery work over the summer. (Other projects coming and going!)

The fabrics chosen were a joy to work with - Melin Tregwynt wool and House of Hackney's Queen Bee.

Plenty of hand sewing, one of my favourite jobs - if time consuming!  Trusting it gives many more years of pleasure.
